It’s Ready (sort of?)

Well, the new design is finally up and running, and although it’s still missing some of the *key* elements it will eventually have, these things do take time! I need to photograph my newest jewelry creations, get some amazing new recipes added, finish posting the recent photos I have taken of some of the culinary delights that have come from my very own kitchen, find inspiration for posts themselves, find time to post them…etc…etc. You get the point!

Anyhow, baby steps is all I can say…we are getting there bit by bit Although, if the weather continues to be as beautiful as it was today, I may find even less time for it…we were outside for 3 hours today…nuff said!

Anyhow, on the agenda for the rainy day tomorrow, in addition to the regular household duties and kid wrangling, is adding some new photos, and recipes…wish me luck!

This is the personal website of Catherine Robertson, Mother, Wife and Artist (among numerous other things) who lives in Guelph (pronounced: Gwelf) Ontario, Canada with her husband Stuart, son Liam and daughter Gwyneth and all their pets, including 3 cats! Catherine is a busy stay-at-home Mom of two young children. In her spare time (um, what is this spare time thing?) Catherine enjoys cooking, crafts such as jewellery making, photography and scrapbooking, reading, art, gardening and music. Other interests include her love of archaeology and history, which prompted her to study both Anthropology and Art History in University.

Catherine’s husband Stuart Robertson, is a web-designer, and creator of Designmeme. He works for the University of Guelph, and teaches in Toronto. Stuart and Catherine met in Founders Residence at York University, 13 years ago, and were married at the Guelph Arboretum in Guelph in June of 2002. They both share many common interests, but their biggest passion, and common achievement is their children. Catherine’s diverse employment background ranging from restaurant prep-cook, to Historical Interpreter at Black Creek Pioneer Village, to Civil Servant, have all prepared her for the most challenging job she has ever tackled: motherhood! Chasing after children is a busy job, and not necessarily similar to any other job she has ever done, but it is definitely her most rewarding one to date!

Catherine wanted to create a website in order to share some of her interests and hobbies with other people in the arts community, as well as share her experiences as a new mother. Her hope is that the people who read her posts will be inspired by stories, creative ideas, and try some of her recipes and craft projects. She also hopes to build her jewellery-making business through her web-site and on-line store!
