Here is an easy “stand-by” recipe for a tasty beef burger perfect for back yard grilling!

Quick and Easy Burgers

1 pound lean ground beef
2 medium sized onions, finely grated (get ready to cry – this part is brutal, but worth it!)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 TBSP fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 egg, well beaten
2 TBSP bread crumbs
2 TBSP barbecue sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Hint: Summer is the season for fresh herbs, so why not grow yourself a little herb garden so that you’ll always have fresh ingredients on hand? I love to add fresh cilantro, basil and mint to many dishes I prepare. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different combinations of spices. Make some basil mayo, or add fresh cilantro to your burger mix – the possibilities are endless!

Combine all ingredients and mix by hand until well blended. Cook on a pre-heated barbeque or grill until juices run clear (roughly 10 – 15 minutes for well-done)
