I am very excited to share some news of another locally-written cook book, which will be released during the same week as my own. On Monday, November 16th, Greek sisters Betty, Eleni and Samantha Bakopoulos will release their beautiful new cookbook featuring their family’s favorite Greek recipes.   The sisters, who are first generation Canadians, grew up on their Mother’s delicious Greek cuisine, and turned their own love of cooking and creativity into a beautiful new book entitled “Three Sisters, Around the Greek Table.”

The book features pictures so amazingly appetizing, they’ll make you want to try each and every recipe.   Although I have “dabbled” in Greek cooking, I can’t wait to learn more from these pros. I am looking forward to getting my copy, and trying my hand at true Greek cuisine. So far, I’ve been able to have a sneak peek at the book through the sisters’ website, and even reading the names of the recipes in the index, and seeing a few pictures was enough to have me drooling!

The sisters are new to the world of blogging, but the beautiful design of their website, combined with it’s “feature recipe” section, and professional colour photographs will definitely earn them loyal readers. I’m dying to try the Lemon Chicken and Potatoes recipe. It looks fabulous.

If you would like to support this wonderful local project, and purchase your own copy of the book, it is available through the sisters’ website, and will also be sold at their launch party on November 16th @ 7 p.m. at Ebar (upstairs from the Bookshelf in downtown Guelph) Everyone is welcome, so if you are in the area, stop by for some amazing Greek food, and a great celebration.

So…to update this post from yesterday, I made this featured recipe. It was so easy, and it tastes amazing! Hooray for the Greek Sisters! I’m hooked!
